With 150 hectares at its disposal, of which 60 are vineyards and 14 are centuries-old olive trees, Terenzi is one of the points of reference for a new Maremma wine region, thanks to the quality of its production and wine tourism hospitality. The company – led by Balbino, Federico and Francesca Romana Terenzi – was founded in 2001 and the winery, which extends over 3,000 square meters, was completed in 2004, with the aim of enhancing an extraordinary territory, underestimated for too long. Awarded in 2012 with the recognition of Cantina Emergente by Gambero Rosso, Terenzi is the creator of wines with an elegant and contemporary style, including the Vermentino Balbinus, the passito Petit Manseng and the Madrechiesa, a pure Sangiovese that has won the Tre Bicchieri 11 times.

The territory

The Terenzi company is located in Scansano, in the heart of Maremma, a short distance from the Terme di Saturnia and Argentario and a two-hour drive from Florence and Rome. It is an undiscovered Tuscany, without make-up, characterized by art villages, charming beaches and wild, bright and changing landscapes. Here the vineyard-covered hills soften down to the sea - one of the cleanest in Italy - and the olive groves alternate with rows of cypress trees and coastal pine forests. In this wonderful land, the southernmost strip of the region, Terenzi looks after and manages five main vineyards with unique characteristics, from which singular and surprising wines are born.
