Simple does not mean easy: this Vermentino, aged in steel, expresses freshness and great balance. Straw yellow in color, it has a pure fruity tone, delicate aromas of white flowers and a savory finish.
THE WINE:
The soils of this vineyard are rich in limestone which gives finesse to this white wine. The white Vermentino “Balbino” is born in the Scansano area. The Terenzi family manages a wonderful 160-hectare estate, of which about 60 are dedicated to viticulture. The Vermentino grapes come from different vineyards of the estate, cultivated in the sunny area of the rolling hills of the first hinterland of the Tuscan Maremma . The medium-textured soils, rich in limestone, and the warm and breezy climate are perfect for this vine with a typically Mediterranean and marine character, which especially loves coastal areas. To the eye it presents a deep straw yellow color. On the nose hints of pear and white flowers. On the palate you can notice fine and clean flavors. The floral and fruity aromas typical of the vine stand out. Characterized by lively freshness, balanced, fine. Aged in steel.
FOOD PAIRING:
It goes well with various fish dishes, raw fish, seafood, soups
shellfish and delicate vegetable-based pastas. It is ideal for long aperitifs.
