Tirrena is deeply connected to Tuscany. It is born on the estates of the Frescobaldi family, who for more than 1000 years have cultivated excellence with creativity and experience, innovation and tradition. The wheat is grown and milled in Tuscany. The pasta making takes place in Tuscany.

Handcrafted
Tirrena is obtained following a natural processing method that has been handed down for generations.
The pasta is bronze-drawn and then slowly dried in static cells (from 72 to 144 hours) at temperatures below 38°C, to keep its organoleptic qualities intact.
This gives the pasta, in addition to its hazelnut color, high digestibility and an extraordinary capacity to absorb condiments. It is precisely this type of processing that makes Tirrena a living pasta, which smells of wheat.
Ancient Grains
Tirrena is a pasta made from durum wheat semolina. Semi-wholemeal and slightly refined, it is rich in fiber, polyphenols and vitamins.
This guarantees superior nutritional quality and high digestibility.
The varieties of grains used are: Senatore Cappelli, Khorasan and Evoldur.
Made In Tuscany
Tirrena pasta is born in the best terroir for the cultivation of ancient grains, thanks to the symbiosis between fresh soil, mild climate and breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The mineral characteristics of the soil, combined with the knowledge of the Frescobaldi family, give this pasta a unique character.
Natural drying for over 72 hours preserves the organoleptic qualities of the ancient grains unaltered.
It's handmade.
