The Terre di Leone farm is located in Marano di Valpolicella, on the hills of Verona, where Chiara Turati and Federico Pellizzari have created a young family-run business, with a very strong and deep-rooted bond with the territory, the winemaking tradition of Valpolicella and its distinctive characteristics.
The passion and work in the vineyard are the result of the teachings of grandfather Leone, to whom the company was dedicated, who was able to pass on his knowledge and skills to subsequent generations.
With great enthusiasm, Leone's cultural and agricultural legacy continues, without forgetting the origins and traditions handed down.
In the estate's vineyards, within the classic area, the traditional Valpolicella varieties are grown, such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara and Oseleta, from which exceptional wines with a strong expressive character are produced.
There are two production lines: “Terre di Leone”, which is characterised by elegance and greater refinement, “Il Re Pazzo”, a more casual and extroverted interpretation.
The cellar is equipped with the most modern technologies, including humidity and temperature control systems in the fruit cellar for the correct drying of the grapes.
The barrel cellar is certainly the most exciting room, made up of three different rooms for refinement with three types of barrels for capacity, strictly made of French oak, in which the wine rests for a period ranging from eight months to eight years.
