1971

THE FRANCIACORTA BARON PIZZINI

Baron Giulio Pizzini Piomarta produces the first bottle of Franciacorta Barone Pizzini.

1998

ORGANIC VITICULTURE

In the 1998 the cellar starts the experience of the organic viticulture , to obtain a wine with a strong bond with its own land, unique and unrepeatable elsewhere. With the grape harvest 2002 is born the first organic Franciacorta .

2002

GHIACCIOFORTE AND PIEVALTA FARMS

The company extends beyond the province own activities wine-growing: in Scansano in Tuscany, Maremma and in Maiolati Spontini in the Marche of the Castelli di Jesi.

In London, the International Wine Challenge proclaims Franciacorta Rosé 2008 best organic wine in the world .

2015

SUSTAINABLE VITICULTURE

Our company is awarded the special prize for the Sustainable Viticulture by Gambero Rosso . Barone Pizzini also obtains the certificate Biodiversity Friend , the first standard for the certification of biodiversity in agriculture, sponsored by the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies and owned by the WBA-World Biodiversity Association onlus.

2021

FRANCIACORTA WITH ERBAMAT

The first Franciacorta is born with Erbamat , a grape variety native ancient Brescian, rediscovered only in the last 20 years.
