Villa Antinori Bianco represents one of the historic wines of the Antinori family. It was produced for the first time with the 1931 vintage by Niccolò Antinori; since then the label has remained practically unchanged, as has the production philosophy, oriented towards representing its land of origin .

THE WINE:

Villa Antinori Bianco has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose is intense and fine: sensations of orange blossom blend well with fruity aromas that recall pineapple, Golden apple and banana. The palate is fresh, pleasantly tense, characterized by an enveloping taste and a mineral finish.

THE VINTAGE:

The 2022 vintage was characterized by a mild and not very rainy winter. The bud burst of the vine began in early April, a few days later than in 2021, due to the low temperatures recorded in that period. The month of May was characterized by warm and sunny days with temperatures higher than average, ensuring the rapid development of the vine and favoring early flowering, which occurred in the last ten days of the month. The generally warm and dry climate that characterized the entire summer was interspersed with some rainy events starting from mid-August, allowing the ripening to start in the best possible way. The harvest, like last year, began in the last week of August for the Pinot Grigio, continued with the Pinot Bianco and Riesling Renano around September 15th and then concluded with the Trebbiano Toscano from the middle of the month onwards.

VINIFICATION AND REFINING:

The harvested grapes were destemmed and gently pressed. The must obtained was cooled to a temperature of 10 °C to promote natural clarification; after 48 hours it was transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature no higher than 18 °C. The wine was stored in steel tanks at a temperature of 10 °C until bottling, which took place starting in November 2022.
