Talò, a surname, to collectively thank the farmers of San Marzano who, with their families, take care of each vineyard as if it were their garden. Talò, a collection of different varietals, symbol of a community.
Talò Primitivo di Manduria DOP, as per the specifications, pure Primitivo. From grapes grown not far from the sea, a full-bodied red where you can perceive minerality and balsamic notes, as well as the elegance of the tannin and the explosion of fragrant red fruit, typical of the most famous Apulian varietal in the world.
PRODUCTION AREA:
San Marzano (TA), Salento, Puglia. About 100 m above sea level. The area is characterized by high thermal sums and medium-low rainfall. Soil: Medium clayey texture, shallow and with good presence of skeleton.
VINIFICATION AND REFINING:
Thermo-controlled maceration and alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts for about 10 days. Aging in French and American oak barriques for 6 months
THE WINE:
Ruby red color enriched by violet reflections, opulent aroma that recalls ripe cherries and plums with pleasant notes of cocoa and vanilla. Wine of remarkable structure, softened by the persuasive warmth of Primitivo, which ends in notes of long sweetness.
