THE VINTAGE:
In the Leyden Valley, where the Albaclara Sauvignon Blanc vineyards are located, the
The season started with regular temperatures ensuring good flowering and
fruit set. The ripening phase was characterised by cool mornings and
cloudy and afternoons characterized by afternoon breezes; these conditions
climatic conditions, combined with the increasing temperatures during the summer period, have
guaranteed the perfect health of the bunches and favored a slow and
gradual harvest of the grapes. The harvest for Albaclara took place in the month of April, with
grapes capable of fully expressing the characteristic saline and mineral notes of the wine.
VINIFICATION AND REFINING:
Upon arrival at the cellar the bunches were destemmed and subjected to a delicate
pressing. The fermentation, which took place at low temperatures in order to preserve
the freshness of the grapes, took place in stainless steel vats for 12 – 15 days. The
the wine was then aged on its own yeasts, with delicate pumping over carried out
every two weeks. Albaclara was bottled at the end of June
2023.
