Partly in oak barrels and partly in steel. Also available with a Stelvin screw cap from the French company Pechiney: we decided on this very technical closure to keep intact the fragrance and organoleptic qualities obtained first in the vineyard and then in the cellar.
THE WINE:
It has a bright light straw color. Fruity, mineral, elegant aroma despite its peasant frankness, with a dry, fresh and savoury flavour. Ribolla, like Riesling, is one of the wines richest in acidity and medium-bodied, excellent, therefore, as an aperitif, with seafood appetizers, fish-based first courses, pleasant especially in summer for its great drinkability and freshness. With the 1983 vintage, released in May 1984, we began to call our Ribolla Gialla VINNAE to remember the birth of our second son Michele and the hundred years of work and dedication to the vineyard and wine of five generations of Jermann who arrived in 1881 from Bilijana (now Slovenia) in the town of Villanova. From Vinnaioli therefore Vinnae for the Ribolla Gialla that was mostly cultivated by our family since the 18th century. With the 2004 vintage the label was renewed with the addition of the double-headed eagle, found on an old barrel of great-grandfather Anton, a symbol of the Austro-Hungarian origins of the Jermanns, with the cellar greeting (servus cella).
