THE WINE:
“L'Altro” is the youngest and freshest version of Chardonnay that was added, a few years later, to “Piodilei”. Subsequently “L'Altro” evolved with a small addition of Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh, fruity, spicy, slightly vanilla notes with good minerality. Straw yellow, with golden reflections. On the nose it expresses itself with hints of fresh fruit, floral notes, hints of aromatic herbs and mineral tones. On the palate it is fresh, savory and balanced.
From the family-owned vineyards in Treiso (Cascina Il Bricco) in the Barbaresco area, in Trezzo Tinella (Bossania) and Monforte d'Alba (Mosconi) in the Barolo area.
In steel at controlled temperature. Sauvignon in steel.
The Chardonnay in barriques for a short period of time.
FOOD PAIRING:
Excellent when paired with fresh cheeses and fish appetizers, it also goes well with vegetarian dishes.
