THE WINE:
From the vineyards owned by the family in Serralunga d'Alba (Colombaro) and Monforte d'Alba (Mosconi) in the Barolo area, in Treiso (Bongiovanni) in the Barbaresco area, in Sinio (Val di Croce and Bricco dello Stornello) and in Diano d'Alba (Carzello).
The Barbera grapes from the Barolo and Barbaresco area give our Barbera exclusive characteristics of full structure, fleshiness, complexity, softness, hints of very ripe fruit, spices and a long life. Intense ruby red, fruity and intense on the nose, of black cherries, berries and woodland spices, intense, full and structured on the palate, with good balance. You can leave it to rest in the cellar for 3-4 years without any problems.
VINIFICATION AND REFINING:
In steel. Maceration on the skins for approximately 20-25 days.
In French oak barrels for 12 months and in barriques for a small part.
FOOD PAIRING:
Risotto with meat, cold cuts and cured meats, pasta with meat sauce, stewed red meat and roast and grilled meat.
