The expert hands of the Marchesi Guerrieri Gonzaga have given life to a new expression of their savoir faire with the Trentodoc sparkling wine, a tribute to the mountains of Trentino from where it draws its origins. |
VINIFICATION AND FERMENTATION:
The Marchesi Guerrieri Gonzaga sparkling wine is a Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut. Created with 100% Chardonnay grapes grown on the hills of Pressano at an altitude of 400 meters, on calcareous marl soils that produce structured wines and the upper Cembra valley between 400 and 700 meters above sea level on sandy soils of porphyry origin where more floral wines are born, with a marked acidity and great freshness. The harvest, carried out exclusively by hand, takes place between the last ten days of August and the first days of September. The grapes are immediately processed and the fermentations carried out exclusively in steel at a controlled temperature. The wine remains for at least 8 months on its yeasts, which give it complexity before being bottled. It then remains for at least 36 months in refinement where the magic of comes to life. Finally, after disgorging, it rests for another 6 months in the silence of the cellars. The blend of these grapes from such different vineyards gives rise to an extremely elegant and vertical sparkling wine with a strong identity, a tribute to the wonderful mountains of Trentino.
TASTING NOTES:
In the glass it presents a bright straw yellow color, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet expresses delicate floral scents, aromas of citrus, white-fleshed fruit, honeyed nuances, candied citrus peel and pain grillé. On the palate it is savory and fragrant, with a creamy and harmonious sip, which extends towards a finish of beautiful taste persistence. A Dosaggio zero for true connoisseurs.
