This 1.90 hectare vineyard is ideally located on a medium slope near the Corton-Charlemagne hill. Same soil structure and altitude as its famous neighbor. The only difference is the eastern exposure of the "Caradeux" which makes this plot an exceptional "terroir" with unique mineral characteristics. |
THE VINTAGE
After a rainy winter, spring began with a very hot episode in April followed by very cold temperatures in May. The hot weather stabilized in early June. The summer was punctuated by several heat waves that generated a lack of water, compensated by the presence of clay in many plots. The harvest began in late August, in excellent conditions with perfectly ripe and healthy grapes. The white wines are precise with a beautiful combination of fruit.
VINIFICATION
Vinification: After a gentle pressing, this wine was vinified and aged for 12-14 months in oak barrels in our 15th century cellars. Moderate proportion of new oak.
