THE PERFECT HARMONY

Dom Pérignon creates only Vintage Champagnes, made from the best grapes selected in a single year.
It never stops reinventing itself, to always best interpret the exclusive character of each season. It refuses compromises, giving up the creation of the Millesimato when the harvest is not up to par.
After a minimum of eight years of elaboration, the wine reaches a perfect balance, the most beautiful promise of the Maison. This is Dom Pérignon Vintage, the Plénitude of Harmony.

Champagne Dom Pérignon owes its name to the famous monk and procurator of the Abbey of Hautvillers in 1668, Pierre Pérignon, known as Dom Pérignon. According to legend, Pierre Pérignon discovered what is now known as the “méthode champenoise”. In 1669, he taught this method to the Benedictine Thierry Ruinart, which allowed Ruinart to become the first Champagne House in 1729. Since January 1, 2019, Vincent Chaperon has succeeded Richard Geoffroy as Chef de Caves of the House.

THE 2013 VINTAGE:

2013 is a return to the late vintages. After a cold and wet winter, a very cool and rainy spring, the hot and dry summer was particularly beneficial for the quality of the grapes.

THE WINE:

The nose is delicate and reveals itself with colorful touches. The green of eucalyptus, mint and vetiver. The yellow-orange of mirabelle, apricot and orange blossom. The brown of pepper, cardamom and licorice stick. The silver of iodine and toasted aromas.
The palate is elegant, clean and precise. At the beginning, the sensation is enveloping and ethereal. After that, the texture of the wine, fine and silky, amplifies. On the finish, it releases a savory sensation that reveals a deep coherence.
