A VINTAGE SUITABLE FOR LONG AGEING The year 2012 made headlines. It is not often that such a chaotic and challenging year provides wines of such incredible balance, concentration and harmony. Today, the 2012 vintage has found its place among the great Champagne vintages. 2012, a vintage, a test, a "classic" for Charles. The House has meticulously selected 10 Grands and Premiers Crus, this cuvée seduces with its pleasant smoothness, aromatic intensity and saline freshness typical of the House. Its elegance and depth make it ideal to enjoy and pair with the most sophisticated dishes. It is also perfectly suited to further aging. |
AT THE SIGHT:
The 2012 vintage is a beautiful pale golden yellow; with fine, delicate and dynamic bubbles.
ON THE NOSE:
Initially, the nose shows subtle toasted and smoky notes with a touch of licorice and earthy tones. When swirled in the glass, fruity notes of apricot and fresh almonds add an extra dimension to the wine. This incredible aromatic concentration, very typical of the vintage, is the heart of the wine's merit. Fine, delicate and dynamic bubbles.
ON THE PALATE:
Mineral and taut with excellent freshness, with notes of quince, vanilla and vineyard peach on the mid-palate, followed by a decisive and crisp finish.
FOOD PAIRING:
A great pairing with smoked dishes. A beautiful vintage that will continue to develop great complexity and generosity over time." Cyril Brun
