As independent grape harvesters and winemakers , the wines all come from the estate vineyards. Located on the best terroirs of Champagne, the Michel Gonet vineyard extends over part of the Côte des Blancs classified as "Grand Cru", the Côte de Sézanne, Montgueux and Bar-sur-Aubois.
THE WINE:
Pale in color with green highlights, typical of Pinot Noir. Lively on the nose, notes of brioche with persistent fruity fragrances. On the palate it is dry, strong and impressive. Elegant, small bubbles. The aromas of butter and brioche confirm the long aging (3 years) in the bottle. The aftertaste is long and pleasant. The harvest is manual, the freshly picked grapes are transported in refrigerated trucks then pressed with great care in pneumatic presses. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, each terroir and plot are vinified separately before blending.
CULINARY PAIRING:
Pairings Raw seafood appetizers, shellfish, parmesan cheese, fish-based first courses.
PRIZE:
Wine is a matter of meaning, especially in Champagne! And this Reserve wants us to focus our attention on its beautiful golden color, fruit of Pinot Noir.
