In 1927, Hachod Fringhian, predecessor of Charlotte Morgain Le Gallais, purchased the Boursault domain, previously owned by Madame Veuve Clicquot.
He built the Château de Boursault in 1843 and his great-granddaughter, the Duchess Uzès, sold the domain in 1913.

7 VINEYARD PLANTS IN A «CLOS» A RARE SITUATION

After 5 generations, Charlotte still manages part of the estate: 7 plots with their own particularities, in the family clos, overlooking the Marne Valley.

The press, cellars and winery are also nearby, just a few hundred metres away. This guarantees great freshness of the fruit during pressing and processing. The Le Gallais estate is located in the village of Boursault, a few kilometres from Epernay, in the heart of the Marne Valley.

THE WINE:

Sustainable viticulture.
Traditional manual harvesting in several steps.
Whole grapes, fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel vats, Use of selected yeasts, malolactic fermentation, traditional vinification.
Assembly, traditional in cork, aged on yeasts 3-4 years before disgorging. At sight it is gold with fine bubbles. On the nose it has aromatic, fruity aromas, morello cherry and cooked apple. Elegant, intense, developed, light hints of morello cherry, hints of cooked apple, subtle hints of toasted almond, soft and structured body, good intensity, good persistence. Ideal for aperitif.

SERVING TEMPERATURE:

Between 8° and 10°
