THE WINE:
The “Campo del Noce” wine from Pievalta is produced with carefully selected grapes, hand-picked at the moment of their perfect ripeness. The bunches, brought to the cellar, are delicately crushed and destemmed and then undergo alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel containers with frequent daily pumping over and maceration on the skins for about two weeks. The wine is then drawn off, with pressing of the skins, after which it is left to refine. in stainless steel containers for at least 12-18 months before being bottled and finally ready for sale.
The red “Campo del Noce” from Pievalta presents itself with a beautiful deep ruby red color. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruit and berries, including black cherry, blackberry and raspberry, floral notes of dried red flowers and aromatic herbs, including rosemary, and then turns to spicy hints of pepper and coffee. In the mouth it is soft, slender and flowing , characterized by a nice drinkability, at times savoury, and by a pleasant and well-integrated tannin. This from the Pievalta winery is a straightforward, agile and balanced red that fully represents the characteristics of the territory of origin.
