Campo ai Sassi Rosso di Montalcino presents the typical characteristics of the Sangiovese grown in this area, in a youthfully uncommitted version. The deep soils on which these vineyards are grown contribute to creating fragrant and elegant wines with a light and delicate tannic texture.

CLIMATE TREND:
The 2021 season will be remembered as a dynamic year. After a rainy and mild winter, which had led to a slightly early budding, temperatures dropped sharply at the beginning of April, slightly slowing the growth of the shoots. From May onwards, temperatures began to rise, leading to a summer that will be remembered both for the beautiful day-night temperature variations and for the long period of intense heat. The grapes were harvested in perfect health, thanks to the mild temperatures and low humidity.
VINIFICATION AND FERMENTATION:
Once harvested, the Sangiovese grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. During this phase, the cap breaks were of fundamental importance, allowing a perfect extraction of the polyphenolic substances. Subsequently, the wine spent a period of maturation in the cellar, part of which in wood. Further time in the bottle completed the qualitative process, before being released for consumption.
TASTING NOTES:
Campo ai sassi 2021 presents itself with a wonderful ruby red color. The bouquet is characterized mainly by fruity and floral notes. Among the fruity notes, currant and morello cherry stand out, among the floral notes, violet. In the mouth it is fresh, soft and persuasive. The tannin is soft. The persistence is pleasantly long.
