THE WINE:
Intense ruby red color. Complex bouquet of red fruits, sour-cherry, herbs, tobacco and a beautiful peppery earth.
VINIFICATION AND REFINING:
The harvested grapes are taken to the cellar where the bunches are carefully selected, weaned and gently pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 °C (82 °F) for 14-16 days. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine is transferred to Hungarian oak barriques, where it ages for 14 months.
CULINARY PAIRING:
It pairs perfectly with meats like roast pork, meatballs in tomato sauce, beef burgers and cheeses like goat cheese and blue cheese. Also try it with a juicy quiche lorraine.
