THE WINE
Intense ruby red. Complex nose, with notes of ripe red fruit and aromatic herbs and spices. Deep and saline mouth, surprisingly fresh with notes of ginger and dried flowers. Excellent balance of tannins that make the wine silky but slightly vibrant as only Sangiovese can be. Long aftertaste that suggests a great capacity for aging.
THE VINEYARD
The age of the vines and the use of the guyot as a pruning method guarantee a perfect balance in ripening. The south/southeast exposure combined with the altitude of 450m above sea level favors a long and balanced ripening. The composition of the soil particularly rich in galestro stimulates ideal water drainage without depriving the plants of the reserves necessary for a balanced vegetative cycle.
