THE DOMAIN
For six generations, the Faiveley family has been producing wines that are among the best in Burgundy. François Faiveley and now his son, Erwan, are at the helm of a Domaine of 122 hectares (one of the largest in Burgundy) spread across the entire region and including some of the most prestigious “Grand Cru” and “Premier Cru”: Corton Charlemagne, Clos de Vougeot, Corton Clos des Corton, etc.
THE WINE
This Bourgogne is left to mature, faithful to the Domaine's tradition, in large wooden barrels in the cellars of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Once fermentation is complete, the wine matures for a period of 12-14 months in French oak barrels and finishes its refinement with a few months in the bottle before being released for sale. The Bourgogne Pinot Noir produced by Domaine Faiveley represents the entry label into the world of great Burgundy wines, ideal for beginning to savor the elegance and finesse typical of this historic terroir with timeless charm. Intense ruby red color with a fruity aroma that is well representative of Pinot Noir. Round and soft on the attack, the juice is completely blended with the tannins. It is released with finesse and beautiful intensity.
