A balance of unique elements
The territory is one of the fundamental ingredients that contributes to the success of a high-quality wine. The Langhe, consisting of an extensive system of hills, are the ideal place for the growth of a fine vine: thanks to the strategic position, the altitude, the particular exposure and the rich composition of the soil. A balance of elements that gives the grapes a rich and unmistakable flavor.
THE VINEYARD:
MONTELUPO
Montelupo hosts in the land of its vast slopes a large part of the CaViola vineyards: 11 hectares that rest on a soil rich in clayey calcareous marl and sandstone at 400 meters above sea level that gives the wines great structure, complexity, and longevity. From the vineyards of Montelupo the following selections are obtained: Dolcetto d'Alba Barturot, Dolcetto d'Alba Vilot, Barbera d'Alba Bric du Luv, Barbera d'Alba Brichet and Langhe Nebbiolo.
THE WINE:
As Vilot is to Barturot, Barbera Brichet is related to Bric du Luv as a “younger sister”, occupying the step in the company range dedicated to wines for daily ready drinking. The color is deep ruby red with a purple edge. The nose is a triumph of red fruits, notes of undergrowth and sweet spices. The mouth is not very voluminous and plays on fresh drinkability, which makes the wine very enjoyable. This is a juicy, inviting and agile Barbera. Suggested serving temperature: 14-15° C.
VINIFICATION AND REFINING:
15 -18 days in temperature-controlled tanks. Aged 12 months in large barrels. Annual bottles approximately 15,000
