One of the most prestigious and well-known wines of the Langhe, Barbaresco is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the North-East of the city of Alba, near the Tanaro River. Powerful without ever being invasive, it is an important and convivial wine, fine and persuasive.
THE WINE:
With a garnet red color with ruby reflections that turn orange with aging, it is a soft and persuasive wine, with delicate tannins, never invasive or aggressive. The aromas bring notes of ripe red fruit with a light spicy component. The barely perceptible acidity gives a touch of freshness. Serve at a temperature of 18° C after bringing the bottle to a temperate environment 24 hours before consumption. FIRST YEAR OF PRODUCTION: 1996
VINIFICATION AND REFINING:
Destemming-crushing followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation using indigenous yeasts, in contact with the skins in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Dry racking and decanting into oak barrels. MALOLACTIC FERMENTATION: Completely carried out in barrels immediately after alcoholic fermentation. REFINING: In barrels for a long period, followed by assembly in steel, filtration and bottling. Then rest in bottles at a constant temperature of 14° C for a few months before being released for sale.
