The Barbaresco denomination is undoubtedly another jewel in the crown of Italian winemaking. For us, it represents the realization of a dream.
The soil of the Barbaresco area offers us a very particular expression of Nebbiolo. These vineyards are able to give wines with an exceptional balance and finesse, delicate and elegant. A very persuasive and fascinating expression. The Barbaresco denomination is undoubtedly another jewel in the crown of Italian winemaking and as far as we are concerned it represents an extraordinary project that has been dwelling in our mind for years. Finally at the end of 2018 we were lucky enough to find vineyards located in very suitable areas and therefore follow through on our great dream.
THE WINE:
Appearance: medium intense garnet red.
On the nose: seductive floral notes emerge accompanied by hints of red fruit that give the glass a very precise identity; we are faced with wines that are gentler and more delicate than our Barolos, but with an incredible charm.
On the palate: great harmony, well-polished tannins and balanced acidity; it has a pleasantness that, without a doubt, underlines the character of these extraordinary territories... these are the qualities we look for in our Barbaresco wines!
It is advisable to decant it and drink it at a temperature of 18-20°C. It expresses itself best when paired with rich and tasty dishes, from fresh pasta dishes seasoned with rich meat or vegetable sauces, to red meat dishes, grilled or roasted. Also excellent with cheeses, from soft cheeses to delicate blue cheeses.
VINIFICATION AND AGEING:
Traditional Barbaresco with medium-duration fermentation and maceration in oak vats, at temperatures around 30°C; aging takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels for up to 18 months. This is followed by bottle refinement in special cool and dark rooms.
